Asked Questions |
• Q: What if I don't want someone
coming to my home?
A:
Just make an
appointment with the person you have decided to give your item to at a
mutual friendly place, such as the main post office under a tree, a big
grocery store parking lot, a major shopping center ... anywhere you
feel comfortable meeting them. If you are emailing someone and they
don't "feel" like someone you care to deal with, don't go. It is your
item, you decide.
• Q: Just how do I decide who the
recipient should be?
A: I recommend you wait 24 hours
just out of
fairness. Some people may work and not get online until they get home.
Those who are home and online a lot would have an advantage. Give
everyone a chance.
There are several ways you can decide. Someone may
write
and explain why they want your item and it may touch your heart. (It
may also not be true, so beware.) You could write each name down, fold
each one, then put all the names into a bowl and draw out one.
You could have a child who is non-partial pick one.
You could pick the one who has the nicest,
friendliest email.
Who you pick is totally your decision.
• Q: I decided on my recipient, we
made a place and time, but he never showed up. Now what?
A: It happens. Perhaps there was car
trouble, a
forgotten meeting, he got lost, someone got sick, he got called to
work, or he may have even changed his mind. It seldom happens, but it
DOES happen. Just forget it that day and see if you get an
email
with an apology and another date and time. If not, just post your item
again and at the end, just say, "wasn't picked up." Also
notify
us at freebeezzz-owner@yahoogroups.com so we can keep track of those
who do not show up, reason or not.
• Q: Do I need to put pictures in my
posts? I don't have a camera, nor do I know how to do it.
A: Absolutely NOT! No
pictures are required
at all. (We just have a moderator/owner who loves to do the
picture thing!) If, however, you would like to know how to do
it,
just check out the "how to" in the left column of this page. There are
step-by-step instructions there. You may think it's too much trouble.
Sometimes it can make or break your decision if you want the item. (Those
instructions will be up soon! We are still working on this site. Thank
you for your patience.)
